What Is Indian Head Massage?

Indian Head Massage is based on a traditional Indian medical system called “Ayurveda”, meaning Knowledge of Life. The technique has been performed in India for over 3000 years.

Using a very light oil and various massage techniques on the upper back, shoulders, neck and head, it balances the body’s energy flow and provides benefits to the whole body.

Indian Head Massage is used on a daily basis to help with bonding and communication between family members. Children from the age of six are taught the method to share the massage with other members of the family.

It is a very powerful treatment and has many benefits such as:

  • Stimulates the lymphatic system to release and remove toxins from the body

  • Relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression

  • Reduces headaches and migraines

  • Renews energy levels
